In Polish Mother’s, we make dreams come true

Mrs. Agnieszka Antosik dreamed about three children. One year after the birth of her second daughter, the doctors detected her pancreatic cancer. Patric Swayze, Steve Jobs, and Anna Przybylska lost the fight with it. Agnieszka did not give up. She underwent a very severe operation (she had her pancreas removed), after which she developed diabetes. When she regained her strength, she returned to fulfilling her dreams. It was at the Polish Mother;s Memorial Hospital that she gave birth to her dreamed third child – Milena. The woman does not hide emotions and speaks of great happiness.

– It was a childbirth of the forces of nature. Milena weighed 4220 g, she measured 62 cm and got 10 points on the Apgar scale – says Dr. Michał Krekora from the Department of Obstetrics, Perinatology and Gynecology, who took the delivery.

– Agnieszka showed a great will to fight for her child and determination – adds dr. Mariusz Grzesiak, the head of Obstetrics, Perinatology and Gynecology.

And prof. Maciej Banach, the President of the Polish Mother’s Memorial Hospital notes that in the thirty-year history of the Institute, there was no such case.
